Personal:
    • We got married! Well, eloped, on November 22, 2025. 
    • Posted The Beginning of Our Expat & Early Retirement Story on our Youtube channel, Today We Are Living.
    • I’m going to be a grandfather! Due date, August 7, 2026.
    • Broke the news of resignation to our boss and colleagues at work. It was met with much love and support. 
    • Selling EVERYTHING, little by little, but feeling the pressure to speed it up!
    • Settled on the two carry-ons and two backpacks that will contain 100% of our possessions moving forward.
    • Planning our Honeymoon – 3 ½ weeks throughout Italy. Destinations: Bergamo, Limone sul Garda, Verona, Ortisei, Chioggia, Florence, Siena, Pienza, Vietri sul Mare, Rome
  • Professional:
    • Passing the baton to my successor at work. It’s a lot but I know she’ll be amazing!
    • Tying up all loose ends, finalizing projects, etc. to leave my job in tip-top shape.
    • Doing my part to ensure our school is well prepared for our accreditation visit in April.
    • Presenting “All Aboard the AI Train!” — a session for independent school leaders on the operations side, including CFOs, CTOs, facilities directors, security directors, as well as heads of schools. February ’26 for NAIS in Seattle, WA.

Recently accomplished:

  • Excited to visit my sister and her partner for Thanksgiving at their beautiful new home in Clyde, North Carolina!
  • Supporting our new Head of School with upcoming initiatives and offering context from my years at St. Stephen’s about its culture, history, or past projects.
  • Enjoying the great conversations and shared problem-solving within our Academic Leadership Team.
  • Sat on a panel to discuss, “How We’re Thinking about AI” at Toddle’s School Leaders Meetup in Miami.
  • Presenting “All Aboard the AI Train!” — a session for independent school leaders on the operations side, including CFOs, CTOs, facilities directors, security directors, as well as heads of schools. October ’25 for MISBO in Nashville, TN.

  • Technology Strategy course at Miami Herbert Business School | University of Miami
  • Ready to co-host ShifinEdu once again! *Canceled due to Hurricane Milton 🙁
  • Finalizing implementation of Verkada access control and security cameras across our campus along with our Director of Security.
  • Preparing for the MISBO Board meeting and attending the Annual Conference in Greenville, SC (my first time in that city!)
  • Searching for a Director of Finance and Operations at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School – job post
  • We. Went. CARLESS – yes, in Miami! Due to our close proximity to work, the Metrorail, and so much within walking and biking distance, we’re living a traffic-free, carefree, and car-free life! Loving the huge $avings and enjoy knowing that our carbon footprint has been drastically minimized. Check out our Instagram post!
  • Planning, along with my work partner, to make ShiftinEdu 2024 as great as it is was last year!
  • Ready to tackle the many bold projects happening around the school this summer. Everything from new access control and security systems to a refresh of iPads – it’s going to be a busy summer!
  • Trying to figure out where my partner and I will take her son for his graduation trip – so far, we’re thinking Prague, Budapest, and Cork.
  • Was asked to be a guest on the Talking Technology with ATLIS podcast on May 8th. Link to episode.
  • Went on Virgin Voyages‘ Scarlet Lady and visited Puerto Plata & Bimini.
  • Moved into the beautiful, new Platform 3750 – We’re officially Groveites and love living and working in Coconut Grove!! 
  • Always working on improving the quality of life and safety for the teachers, students, staff, administration, and parents of our school.
  • Celebrated 5 years of a life I never could have dreamed possible with my amazing, beautiful partner, Sheryl Palumbo – and it’s only getting better!
  • Followed through on a year-long mini goal of writing down “something good that happened this week” on a sticky and placing it in a jar. At some point soon, I’ll open that jar and reminisce on my 2023 journey.
  • Voted, along with 81,000,000+ other Americans, to ensure the monster living in the White House is removed January 20, 2021.
  • Tools Cool for School presentation for the FCIS Annual Conference.
  • Read The 5 Second Rule: Transform your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage by Mel Robbins and already reaping the benefits of applying “the rule.”
  • Took control of my health through regular exercise, intermittent fasting (16/8), and limiting carb intake.
  • Self-study for FCIS accreditation visit to St. Stephen’s.
  • Planning and overseeing all technology and audio-visual details of the new Arts & Innovation Center at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School.
  • Finalizing implementation of a new VoIP phone system at work.
  • Presented for FCIS Annual Conference, LearnFestATX, & ISTE2018
  • Performed two poetry slams:
  • Learned basic Catalan & shared my experience on FelixThe.cat
  • Promoted and enjoyed a successful ShiftinEdu, a summit for forward-thinkers in education.

  • Returned “Home” to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School.

  • Second year as Director of Innovation & Technology at Gulliver Schools.
